This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our vehicle rental marketplace platform, including our website and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

When you create an account, make a booking, or interact with our Platform, we may collect:

1.2 Payment Information
Payment card details are collected and processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. ETD does not store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers. We retain only a tokenized reference and the last four digits of your card for display purposes.
1.3 Location Data
We collect location data to provide vehicle search results, calculate delivery distances, and display maps. This includes approximate location derived from your IP address and, with your permission, precise location from your device's GPS.
1.4 Usage & Device Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including:
Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
IP address and approximate geographic location
Pages viewed, search queries, and interactions with Platform features
Error logs and performance metrics to improve Platform stability
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To create and manage your account
To process bookings, payments, and refunds
To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, payment receipts, trip reminders)
To facilitate communication between Hosts and Guests
To verify identity and prevent fraud
To improve the Platform's functionality, performance, and user experience

3. Third-Party Services
We share information with the following third-party service providers who assist in operating the Platform:
3.1 Stripe (Payment Processing)
Stripe processes all payment transactions on the Platform. When you make a payment, Stripe receives your payment card details, billing address, and transaction amount. Stripe's use of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
3.2 Supabase (Data Storage & Authentication)
Supabase provides our database infrastructure and authentication services. Your account information, booking records, and communications are stored securely in Supabase's cloud infrastructure with row-level security policies.
3.3 Google Maps (Location Services)
Google Maps is used to display vehicle locations, calculate distances, and provide map-based search. Google may collect usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
3.4 Resend (Email Delivery)
Resend delivers our transactional emails, including booking confirmations, payment notifications, and account communications. Resend receives recipient email addresses and email content to facilitate delivery.
3.5 Sentry (Error Monitoring)
Sentry monitors application errors and performance to help us maintain Platform stability. Sentry may receive technical information including device type, browser version, and anonymized error stack traces. No personal information is intentionally sent to Sentry.

We use cookies and similar technologies to:
Maintain your authentication session (essential)
Remember your preferences and settings (functional)
Analyze Platform usage and performance (analytics)
You can manage your cookie preferences through the cookie consent banner displayed on your first visit, or through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect Platform functionality.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. After account deletion, we retain certain data for up to 7 years as required by tax, legal, and regulatory obligations. Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will promptly delete that information.
